I just finished Oryx and Crake, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Somewhere between the post-apocalyptic vision of the future and the careful crafting of the characters, Ms. Atwood creates a work of intensity that is remarkable both in breadth of the subject matter and the emotional content of the topics.
This book is a quick read, but so much of it merit rereading that you'll find yourself covering the same passage repeatedly, so fine is the writing and imagery.
